post finished soon Fergie taught me how to spell delicious, tasty, and glamorous. But what about just plain HOT?
Her heart pounded a mile a minute. Blood rushed to her head, and her beat pulsed with her every step. A sharp yelp lept from her throat, breaking the dead silence of night. Collecting her pace until she gradually slowed to a stop, Circe glanced from left to right, checking to make sure that no others would be there to disturb her. Her right front paw was tender, a thorn piercing the bottom. Slowly lying down, she bent her pale head to rip the thorn from it's resting place. This hurt her also, but she did not let it show. Effortlessly getting to her feet again, the pearl painted fae picked up a more gentle lope, realizing that she was using up the little reserve of energy she had stowed much too quickly. Shrubbery brushed passed her, and only one particulary heavy branch managed to scrape through her thick hide. One, single drop of blood mixed against her milky coat from the scratch, turing her pelt a pale, pinkish color. Not very accomodating. With a heavy sigh and a roll of her saphire eyes, Circe paused again and glanced around her, taking the time to look at her surroundings. The foliage seemed to be thinning out ahead of her.
Slowly walking out of the thick brush, Circe found herself on the edge of a forest, which spread down both ways as far as she could see. A few birds flew in and out of the trees, and branches rustled where squirrels lept in an attempt to make it home. But it was strangely quiet; only the very subtle sound of the birds sing-song voices could be heard, and they calmed her a bit. She wasn't really running from anything; nothing had happened that would have caused her to leave home so quickly. It was more of a realization. The fact that if she stayed in her family's pack for much longer, it might be too hard to leave when the time came. And she wanted a little bit of adventure before she settled down. None of this picking a mate early was right for her. She wanted time, and choices. But where she had come from, neither one of those were an option. And so she had fled in the middle of the night, carefully watching out from Keena, the usual nighttime watcher. Keena was Circe's aunt, and though she loved and trusted her with anything, she knew that leaving without her family's consent was not something she would be able to keep a secret for very long.
Shaking her pearly head and trying not to remember her family, especially now when she had just won her freedom, Circe moved on. An entirely open valley stretched before her, empty all animate signs of life. At least, that she could speak with. There were a few rabbits scampering about, but the tall grasses hid them from view. It was only when the rustling stopped that she could tell they had fled to their burrows, after catching her scent and perhaps a glimpse of her creamy body. Sighing again, Circe began to lope gracefully through the grasses, enjoying the feeling they gave her as they raced along her belly. A sly grin spread across her delicate maw, as her thin dancer-like limbs flitted quickly in front of her, just barely reaching her vision before the raced back out of sight, not unlike the rabbits that scattered near her.
